In brief: Costa Rica’s inflation continues to soar

*Costa Rica’s national statistics institute (Inec) has released new figures for inflation which show that monthly inflation in June was 1.78% bringing the annual rate to 10.06% - the highest annual rate in a decade. The annual rate in May was 8.71% up from 7.15% in April, 5.79% in March, 4.90% in February and 3.50% in January.
