IMMIGRATION: Border death toll surges

The US Bureau of Customs and Border Protection announced on 4 October that at least 464 immigrants died crossing the 3,200km US-Mexican border during the fiscal year ending on 30 September. This is a rise of 43% on the previous year and the highest number since records began.
