In brief: Remittances up in Bolivia

* Bolivia’s central bank (BCB) has announced that the country received US$724m in remittances during the first six months of this year, representing a 5.9% increase on the same period in 2021 and a record high for the period. According to the central bank, 30.8% of these remittances came from Spain, followed by Chile (23.3%), the US (19.9%), Brazil (5.5%), and Argentina (5.3%).
