PARAGUAY: Vice President staying put…for now
On 19 August Paraguay’s foreign minister, Julio César Arriola, revealed on Twitter that he had summoned the US ambassador, Marc Ostfield, to explain the decision by the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, to blacklist Vice President Hugo Velázquez for “involvement in significant corruption”.
