In brief: More solar plants set to be built in Brazil

* The chief communications officer for the Brazilian energy infrastructure company Orion-E, Hugo Albuquerque, has told Reuters that it has reached an agreement with US energy trader Bolt to build solar plants in several Brazilian states. Albuquerque stated that the project will cost an estimated R$3.2bn (US$626.82m) and produce a combined capacity of 500 megawatts. Under the agreement, Orion-E will oversee project development and Bolt will sell the energy to consumers. The project is expected to be operational within the next two years.
