In brief: Mexico’s international tourism up in July

* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released new figures showing that 3.68m international tourists entered the country in July 2022, a 9.1% increase on the 3.37m that visited Mexico in July 2021. The same figures show that revenue from international tourism in July stood at US$2.55bn, up 21.3% on the US$2.1bn registered in July 2021. Mexico’s tourism industry continues to recover from the impact of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
