In brief: Exports up in Peru

* Peru’s ministry of foreign trade and tourism (Mincetur) has announced that exports totalled US$5.72bn in August, representing a 5.6% increase on the same month in 2021. In the first eight months of 2022, exports increased 13% year-on-year to total US$42.46bn. According to a Mincetur statement, the yearly rise is primarily due to the increased export of coffee, natural gas, berries, and textiles.
