CHILE | Economy contracts. Chile’s economy contracted by 0.4% in September on the same month in 2021, according to the monthly economic activity indicator (Imacec), the central bank reported on 2 November. Industrial activity declined by 4.4% and mining by 0.1%. Retail activity plunged by 10.2%. Services expanded by 2.9%.
