In brief: Car production and exports up in Argentina

* Argentina’s association of automobile manufacturers (Adefa) has released new figures which show that car production and exports increased in October 2022 in monthly and yearly terms. The figures show that 52,415 cars were produced in October 2022 – 0.4% more than the previous month and 27.8% more than in October 2021. Production over the first ten months of 2022 increased 28.1% in comparison with the same period of 2021. Exports in the first ten months of this year increased 29.5% in comparison with the same period of 2021, while exports in October stood at 37,326 vehicles, up 43.9% on October 2021 and 5.5% on September. Adefa also reports that the majority of exports so far this year (168,601, or 62.9%) went to Brazil, with Mexico receiving 7,152 vehicles, or 2.7% of total exports.
