In brief: Inflation continues to rise in Colombia

* Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has released the latest consumer price index, putting monthly inflation in October at 0.72%. This brings the annual inflation rate to 12.22%. The monthly increase was driven primarily by rising costs for food and non-alcoholic drinks (+1.21%), transport (+1.09%), and recreation and culture (+0.89%). The only category in which prices fell was education (-0.02%).
