In brief: Brazil’s vehicle production rises year-on-year
* Brazil’s national association of vehicle manufacturers (Anfavea) has announced that Brazil’s vehicle production reached 206,044 units (including cars, trucks, and buses) in October 2022. This represents an increase of 15.1% in year-on-year terms and a decline of 0.8% in comparison the previous month. From January to October 2022, Brazil produced 1.96m vehicles, up 7.1% in year-on-year terms. Despite the increase in production, the sales of new vehicles in Brazil decreased 3.1% from January to October compared with the same period of 2021. In October, sales reached 180,907 vehicles up 11.4% year-on-year but down 6.7% on September 2022.
