REGION: Eclac spells out need for Caribbean economic repositioning

In its October edition of Caribbean Outlook, the United Nations (UN) Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (Eclac) looks in detail at what the Caribbean needs to do to adjust to the post-coronavirus (Covid-19) world. Eclac argues that “the last two years have taught the region that continued ‘business as usual’ is no longer an option for advancing sustainable development”. For Eclac, “repositioning must take place at all levels, encompassing all sectors, if the region is to thrive”.
