In brief: Costa Rica registers highest year-end inflation in a decade

*Costa Rica’s national statistics institute (INEC) has released new figures which show monthly inflation in December reached 0.13%, bringing the annual total to 7.88%. This is the highest annual year-end inflation in a decade (and compares with 3.30% inflation in December 2021) although is down from 8.26% annual inflation in November 2022, 8.99% in October and 10.37% in September.
