HONDURAS: Gov’t under pressure over deaths of human rights defenders

On 13 January, the head of Honduras’s human rights ombudsman’s office (Conadeh) Blanca Izaguirre issued a statement calling on the Honduran state to guarantee the right to the defence of territory and the environment through “substantial measures to protect the lives and physical integrity” of human rights defenders (HRDs).
