In brief: Bolivia hails strong natural gas exports

*Bolivia’s state oil company Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) has said that exports of natural gas to Brazil, Argentina and the domestic market totalled more than US$3.4bn in 2022, up 45% on 2021. In a statement, YPFB said that natural gas exports to Brazil averaged 16.79m cubic metres per day (m3/d) in 2022, worth US$1.56bn in 2022, up 22% on 2021 while 10.80m m3/d of natural gas was exported to Argentina, bringing in revenue of US$1.69bn. Natural gas for domestic consumption reached an average of 12.68m m3/d and was worth US$185.36m.
