In brief: Unemployment falls year-on-year in Colombia
* Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has released the latest unemployment figures, showing that the unemployment rate in December 2022 stood at 10.3%. This was down from 11.1% in December 2021. The underemployment rate rose slightly year-on-year to 7.7%, up from 7.6%. The largest year-on-year increases in employment were in manufacturing industries (+249,000), followed by public administration, defence, education and healthcare (+207,000).
