In an extended interview with TV Cultura’s Roda Viva programme aired on 13 February Brazil’s central bank president Roberto Campos Neto rejected the idea of raising inflation targets but otherwise tried to strike a conciliatory tone in his dispute with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
