In brief: Brazil’s Embraer’s deliveries up in 2022

* Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has announced that it delivered 80 aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2022 – 30 commercial airplanes and 50 executive jets. This brings the total number of aircraft delivered in 2022 to 159 – 57 commercial airplanes and 102 executive jets. According to a statement from Embraer, this is a 12.7% increase on 2021. The company’s order book (the “backlog”) stood at US$17.5bn as of 31 December. According to a document seen by Reuters on 10 February, global credit ratings agency S&P has upgraded the credit rating of Embraer SA to ‘BB+’ from ‘BB’, reportedly citing solid cash flow and expectations that key financial metrics will remain on the rise in coming years.
