BRAZIL | Beef exports to China paused over BSE case. Brazil has temporarily suspended beef exports to China, by far its largest market, after laboratory tests ordered by the agriculture and livestock ministry confirmed a case of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), or ‘mad cow disease’, on a cattle ranch in the northern state of Pará.
