In brief: Inflation rises in Honduras

* Honduras’s central bank (BCH) has released new figures which show that monthly inflation in February was 1.16%, bringing the year-on-year rate to 9.80%. The monthly figure is up from 0.42% in January, 0.37% in December, and 0.98% in November. The annual figure is up from 8.93% in January, which was down from 9.80% annual inflation in December, 10.44% in November, and 10.18% in October. The BCH highlights that the categories which drove inflation in February were food & non-alcoholic drinks and education which were up by 1.52%, and 8.05% respectively.
