HONDURAS | Tax reform. The Honduran-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) issued a statement on 17 March echoing the concerns of the private sector and the main opposition Partido Nacional (PN) over the government’s planned tax reforms [WR-23-06]. It said the plans were “confusing, ambiguous, and discriminatory”, and decried the failure to take any steps to reduce the informal economy or remove or lower taxes introduced by previous governments.
