CUBA: Doubts over gov’t claims of high turnout in legislative vote

On 26 March the president of Cuba’s national electoral council, Alina Balseiro, cited preliminary figures which put turnout in elections held earlier that day for the 470-member national assembly (ANPP) at 70.34%.
