MEXICO: Bullish about tourism
The Tianguis Turístico annual international tourism trade fair took place in Mexico City from 26-29 March. Held in the country’s capital for the first time – in previous years it was held in major tourist hotspots such as Acapulco on Guerrero state’s Pacific coast, and Cancún on the Caribbean coastline of Quintana Roo state - it was considered a great success by local authorities and business organisations, who highlighted that the sector had fully recovered from the severe detrimental effects of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
