* Argentina’s central bank (BCRA) has announced it is raising its benchmark interest rate by 300 basis points to 81%. This comes as monthly inflation accelerated further in March to 7.7%, bringing the annualised rate up to 104.3%, one of the highest in the world, according to figures released by the national statistics institute (Indec).
