* Mexico’s agriculture minister, Víctor Villalobos Arámbula, has announced that agricultural and fishing production has registered sustained growth for the fourth consecutive year, despite an “adverse international context”. Presenting the agri-food and fisheries information service (Siap)’s agrifood forecast for 2023, Villalobos said expected production for the 2023 crop year was 301.3m tonnes (t) of food, which represents a 1.2% increase compared to the 2022 crop year.
