* Peru’s central bank (BCRP) has announced that formal employment increased by 2.4% in February compared with the same month in 2022, equivalent to an additional 256,000 jobs. Formal employment in the private sector increased by 5%, primarily due to a 6.9% increase in employment in the services sector. However, employment in the public sector fell by 3.9%.
