In brief: Guatemala’s inflation slows

* Guatemala’s central bank (Banguat) has released new figures which show monthly inflation in April was 0.17%, bringing the year-on-year rate to 8.32%. This is down from monthly inflation of 0.38% and 8.71% annual inflation in March. The year-on-year rate is the lowest since June 2022 when it was 7.55%.
