A new pricing policy at Brazil’s Petrobras

In 2015 Brazil’s state-owned oil company Petrobras booked its largest loss ever under the leftist president Dilma Rousseff (2011-2016). Seven years later Brazil’s biggest company by market capitalization recorded its largest profit ever under the far-right, market-friendly administration of Jair Bolsonaro (2019-2023). Changes under the current Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva government could find a middle-ground for the oil and gas giant.
