COLOMBIA: Crumbling alliance and political scandal threaten reform agenda

It has been a tough few months for Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro. First his rainbow coalition fell apart and triggered a cabinet reshuffle that saw the departure of respected finance minister José Antonio Ocampo. And then a host of political scandals, including damaging accusations of illegal campaign financing, rocked Colombia’s political landscape, possibly burying Petro’s reform agenda for good.
