Pretty horrible

The economy's prospects are tied to those of the US. Neither looks in good shape. International economic agencies are chopping their forecasts for the economy in 2009, but bravely forecasting something of a recovery in 2010. Although some Mexican optimists claim that the economy is close to the bottom, there is little sign of this. In May, it shed 106,359 formal (IMSS-registered jobs). The worry is that this was 36% of all the IMSS jobs lost since the beginning of 2009.
