On 11 October a dissident unit of the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc) guerrilla group was accused of killing a soldier in Colombia’s southwestern department of Cauca, piling further pressure on the government as it prepares to sign a ceasefire agreement with the Estado Mayor Central (EMC), the largest alliance of dissident Farc units.
