Mexico waits for US action

The hopes by the Mexican government that the administration of President Barack Obama would do more than offer sweet words of consolation on issues such as immigration reform and US gun laws looks increasingly forlorn. If anything, the US has become more equivocal about President Felipe Calderón since his state visit to Washington on 19-20 May.
