In brief: Monthly inflation rises in Colombia

* Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has released the consumer price index for November, putting monthly inflation at 0.47%. This brings annual inflation in November to 10.15%. The monthly inflation rate was up from October, when it stood at 0.25%, although the annual rate was down from 10.48%. Monthly inflation was driven principally by price rises for housing, water, gas & electricity (+1.05%), restaurants & hotels (+0.83%), and transport (+0.72%), while prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages fell by 0.45%.
