VENEZUELA: Saab released as part of prisoner swap with US
On 20 December the US and Venezuela carried out a prisoner swap, with the US releasing Colombian financier Alex Saab, a top ally of Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro, in exchange for 30 prisoners being held in Venezuela.
