*Colombia’s national statistics institute (Dane) has announced that industrial production fell by 0.6% year-on-year in October. During the first ten months of 2024, industrial production fell by 1.8% compared with the same period in 2023. The yearly decline in October was driven by a 7.3% drop in mining and quarrying, and a 1.8% reduction in the capture, treatment, and distribution of water. In contrast, manufacturing increased by 1.1% and electricity and gas provision increased by 1.0%.
