Letter bombs
The ministry of the interior announced on 7 August that it had identified the author of the recent letter-bombings (see Page 346) as Maximiliano Jose Monsalve Planchart, a retired officer of the secret police, Disip. Involvement of other Disip officers is not being ruled out.
