MEXICO: Former top magistrate faces corruption allegations

On 14 April Arturo Zaldívar, former chief justice of the Mexican supreme court (SCJN), dismissed allegations of corruption made against him, claiming that their intention is “purely political-electoral” and designed to oppose the ‘fourth transformation’ (4T) the name for the current government’s political movement.
