GUYANA: UN Human Rights Committee has a look at Guyana

The 140th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Committee (HRC) included a review of Guyana’s August 2021 submission of its Third Periodic Report. The review was held from 18-20 March and enabled interested parties to raise various human rights and governance concerns, including restraints on freedom of expression, the electoral system, and governance of the oil and gas sector.
