*Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released the consumer price index for September, showing monthly inflation of 0.05%. This was up from 0.01% in August. Annual inflation in September was 4.58%, down from 4.99% in August. The core inflation rate, which excludes volatile items, was 0.28% in monthly terms, up from 0.22% in August. In annual terms, the core rate was 3.91%, down from 4.00% in August.
