*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has announced that the country registered a trade surplus of US$1.23bn in November. This was up from a surplus of US$888m in October and a deficit of US$615m in November 2023. Exports in November this year totalled US$6.48bn, up 31.6% year-on-year, while imports totalled US$5.25bn, down 4.3%. Argentina’s most valuable export in November was manufactured agricultural products, which totalled US$2.74bn, up 55.1% year-on-year. Brazil remained the country’s top export market, receiving US$1.20bn of exports in November, followed by the US (US$680m), and India (US$435m). Brazil was also the main source of imports to Argentina, accounting for US$1.37bn, followed by China (US$1.19bn), and the US (US$349m).
