BARBADOS: Arthur explains reasons for refusing Petrocaribe

During the recent UN summit in New York, Prime Minister Owen Arthur explained that Barbados had refused to sign up to Petrocaribe, Venezuela's plan to supply the Caribbean with subsidised oil, because it was not in his country's best interests. Barbados has its own oil reserves, which are refined in Trinidad & Tobago.
