PANAMA: Torrijos strengthens ties with Havana

Relations between Panama and Cuba appear to be back on track after Panama's President Martí­n Torrijos paid a courtesy visit to Havana to meet his counterpart Fidel Castro. Torrijos accompanied 74 Panamanian patients to Cuba where they received free eye-surgery under the "Operación Milagro Panamá" health initiative agreed between the two nations.
