TRINIDAD & TOBAGO: No improvement in security situation

The release of the main suspect in the spate of bombings that have shaken Port-of-Spain over the past five months, and the steady increase in the murder rate, continues to undermine the government's assertion that it has the security situation under control. As of 1 December, there have been 352 murders on the tiny island group: a 37% increase on last year's figure with a month still to go.
