GUATEMALA: Border dispute - is a solution finally in sight?

Belize and Guatemala have agreed to negotiations, arranged by the Organization of the American States (OAS), on settling the maritime aspect of their longstanding boundary dispute. Belize's chief negotiator Assad Shoman and Guatemala's foreign minister Jorge Briz met at OAS headquarters in Washington on 10 February with the OAS Secretary-General José Miguel Insulza.
