In brief: Cuba’s inflation slows

*Cuba’s national statistics office (Onei) has released new figures showing monthly inflation in March was 1.22%, bringing the annual rate to 20.62%. This compares with monthly inflation in February of 2.75% when the annual rate was 24.02%. As regards different categories, the highest annual rates for March were registered in alcoholic beverages & tobacco (177.33%), followed by restaurants & hotels (27.25%), and goods & various services (20.07%).
