Mexico’s government led by President Claudia Sheinbaum reached two key agriculture-related agreements with the US on 28 April. One of these concerned Mexico’s inability to fulfil its obligations under a 1944 water-sharing agreement, while the other related to a dispute surrounding an outbreak of New World Screwworm (NWS) in Mexico.
