BRAZIL | Inflation decelerates in May. The national statistics institute (Ibge) released new figures on 10 June which showed that monthly inflation in May came to 0.26% and annual inflation stood at 5.32%. The latest monthly inflation rate is down 0.43% on April and from 0.46% in May last year. Of the nine categories of products and services measured, seven registered a monthly rise in prices in May this year, with the greatest seen in the housing category (+1.19%).
