BRAZIL: Lula promises reciprocity against US tariffs
On 9 July Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated that “unilateral increases in tariffs” will be met with reciprocity, in response to yesterday’s announcement by US President Donald Trump of a 50% tariff on Brazil to take effect on 1 August.
