MEXICO | Vehicle exports, production up while sales decline in June. On 7 July Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) reported that production and exports of light vehicles had increased year-on-year in June 2025, while sales were down. Exports were up 14% at 331,517 units, following yearly declines in April and May, while production increased by 4.9% compared to June 2024, with a total of 361,047 units manufactured. However, domestic sales declined 5.9% to 116,062 units in June. Cumulative production from January to June rose slightly by 0.5% year-on-year to 2.0m units. Exports over the same period fell 2.83% to 1.7m units, while sales were also down 0.25% to 709,344. The US remained the primary destination for exports, accounting for 79.7%% (1.3m) of exports in the first half of the year.
