In brief: Argentina registers another trade surplus in June

*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has announced that the country registered a trade surplus of US$906m in June, marking the 19th consecutive month of positive trade balances. June’s surplus was up from a surplus of US$608m in May and of US$204m in April but down from the US$1.88bn surplus registered in June 2024. In June 2025 exports totalled US$7.28bn, up 10.8% year-on-year, while imports totalled US$6.37bn, up 35.9% year-on-year. Argentina’s most valuable export in June was manufactured agricultural products, totalling US$2.54bn (-0.1% year-on-year). Brazil remained the country’s top export market, receiving US$1.07bn of exports in June, followed by China (US$868m), and the US (US$699m). Brazil also accounted for the most imports, totalling US$1.69bn, followed by China on US$1.29bn, and the European Union with US$783m.
